The Bridal Project welcomes French designer Laure de Sagazan to our Miami boutique

LAURE DE SAGAZAN

Here, at The Bridal Project, we pride ourselves on giving future brides the most exceptional experience, from the minute you step thru the door till the day of the ceremony. We have a big commitment to you, and to the designers we represent, and because of that, we take a hands-on approach to understand the brands we work with and their product. So you can rest assured we’ll be delivering the designers’ amazing creations to you, just as if you were meeting with the designer in person.

Following up with that promise, today we are looking forward to sharing a wonderful trip we took to New York, to spend time with our newest addition, French designer Laure de Sagazan. She is one of the most chic designers to come from Europe. Her style, synonymous with elegance, delicateness, poesy, and quality, arrives in Miami with the acclaimed stamp of ‘made in France’.

LAURE’S BEGINNINGS AND WHAT IS BEHIND THE DESIGNER'S INSPIRATION

The brand Laure de Sagazan was born in 2011. After having graduated from fashion school, Laure worked as a designer for a well-known international firm in Paris. Little did she know that she would end up branching out into the world of bridal gowns. Since then, silky silhouettes, elegant translucent fabrics, high-quality fabrics, and high quality workmanship have contributed to crafting a reputation of artisanal work that’s respected internationally.

Laure finds that in her love for history, poetry, theater, and art, different inspirations for her line of wedding gowns arise. She loves all things vintage and the roaring 20s, where women set trends and made a social statements through fashion. She takes inspiration from the 50s, the age of luxurious brands, the creation of comfortability, and the introduction of new materials, and to the 80s, characterized by off-the-shoulder cuts, and loose, flowy dresses. Her grandmother also inspired her very much. Laure looks for fabrics in old photographs and documents and brings them back to the present, recreating and adapting them to current times.

Laure de Sagazan works with exclusive producers on the smallest of details, from the type of lace to the type of embroidery and color. Their approach to textile choices is interesting and unique, as she not only designs the wedding gowns but the fabrics and embroideries too, using nothing but the best garments and techniques available.

THE LAURE DE SAGAZAN NEW YORK EXPERIENCE

During our private visit to Laure de Sagazan’s studio, in New York, we had the opportunity to work hand in hand with the boutique manager and their assistants. Not only is the customer service top-notch, but everything in the store, including the cozy atmosphere makes the experience all the more pleasing for the clients.

Their amazing attention to detail allows Laure de Sagazan to continue her dress-making legacy. Bohemian and chic in conception, and sophisticated in execution, they embody the elegance every woman dreams about for their wedding day.

LAURE’S EXCLUSIVE DESIGNS

Laure de Sagazan provides brides with the extra confidence that they are investing in a timeless and unique piece, that will stand the test of time. Garments appear as marvelous on the interior as on the exterior, using silk and other fine textiles. Their process of fabrication is so impeccable that even if brides tried to wear their gowns inside out, they would still look amazing in them!

The way Laure de Sagazan designs is just as enchanting. She puts together the idea of the dress she has conceived, on paper, along with ideas for possible materials. With the drawing in hand, she lets the dressmakers work on a prototype with more simple fabrics, to see what her creations would appear like on a real bride. In other cases, Laure submits every detail about the design, including how to "build" it. In total, it can take up to 5 to 7 months to prepare the whole collection can come together and reach their final version.

Carmen and Diego met at a blind date at a wedding, today they're the ones "just married"

SAYING GOODBYE TO 2017 WITH OUR BIGGEST SMILE

If we, at The Bridal Project, had to describe 2017 with a facial expression, our bride and groom Carmen and Diego's faces in the photo above would be the perfect answer. That smiles reflects so many milestones achieved during this year: for our brides, the happiness of getting the wedding gown of their dreams, for ourselves, because we just turned one year since we opened to the public, and last but not least, because we're closing 2017 with pride and beginning 2018 filled with emotion. This is the reason why today, January 1st, we wanted to have Carmen, the first ever bride to buy a dress from The Bridal Project, celebrate something special with us.

THE MOST IMPORTANT INGREDIENT OF A PERFECT WEDDING

wedding-bridal-project-miami-chile-anna-campbell-annabella-jewels-dance-2018

"Our wedding surpassed all our expectations, when we look back at the photos we are reminded of how incredible it was" - says Carmen from the other side of the telephone from Chile. The one ingredient that made their wedding perfect was all the time they had to organize it: "we were engaged for a long time so we prepared everything very calmly, with care, without any stress".

The story of how they met isn't any less magical. Several friends thought that it would be a good idea for us to attend a wedding together, so they organized a blind date. "A friend told me about Diego, who was also going to the wedding alone. I didn't know him, but we had so much fun, and that's how it all started".

Carmen and Diego got engaged in July 2016, and in September, Carmen had to stay in Miami for three months because of an internship. "First we worked on the biggest things: the date, the banquet, the priest, and the venue. Then, in the distance, the rest: the photographer, the DJ, and of course, my bridal dress".

FROM SEARCHING THE NET TO DISCOVERING "THE BRIDAL PROJECT" IN MIAMI

Like almost every single bride-to-be nowadays, Carmen started her research on the internet. "I had envisioned a bridal gown that was elegant, I liked precious stones, jewels, but not too sparkling, a modern vintage wedding dress" - she tells us.

"My mother helped me a lot, and together we came across Australian designer Anna Campbell, whose style completely marveled us: feminine, elegant, and classic, just like high fashion".

"I visited typical bridal stores in Miami with no luck, and all of a sudden I found The Bridal Project's website. When I saw that they carried Anna Campbell's collection I couldn't believe my eyes. The only problem though, is that they still hadn't opened the store". Behind the scenes, Martina and her team were giving the final touches for the launch of their first boutique. "I started sending e-mails nonstop, I wanted to be the first person to go. In the end I made an appointment, went with a friend, and tried on four or five dresses. The moment I put "Anabella" on, I fell in love with it, I knew it was the one. My dad got so emotional when I showed him".

Carmen says that the most beautiful thing the priest told them was that from now on, we had to dream together, and build together.

THE IMPORTANCE OF THE SMALL DETAILS

"The hairdo was done by a friend from university, she put crystals in the braids, and an old medal that looked amazing with the dress and its two cap sleeves and their jewels, one of my favorite details about Anna Campbell's designs. The bow, another classic, was among the most commented things between my friends and family about the dress". Carmen assures that such unique and modern vintage wedding dresses are not the norm in Santiago, but she was surprised with the fact that many guests were able to identify the dress as an Anna Campbell creation.

ABOUT THE BRIDAL PROJECT

"I felt so much love from The Bridal Project's team, the boutique is really beautiful, and I had plenty of time to try on the dresses. Martina was present at every stage of the process, even following up after the purchase. I felt the affection and I'm still thankful to this day. By the way, I had no idea I was their first bride until Martina told me recently, what an honor".

The Bridal Project couldn't be happier about this beautiful couple, and we want to thank them for putting their trust in us. To them, and to everyone reading this, happy new year 2018!

7 Tips and Tricks for your Bridal Beauty Routine

Hey TBP brides,

This post is about beauty and as a bride to be, certainly, you want to look impeccable not only on your wedding day. Below you can find 7 tips and tricks, The Bridal Project' s team has put together during a private makeup class with MACA SOTO. Maca is a renowned Venezuelan makeup artist, based in Miami, whose clients include; Chiqui Delgado,  Sasha Fitness, and Michelle Lewin. She is a real professional and will bring out the natural beauty in every woman. TBP brides, she will make you shine.

HYDRATE YOUR SKIN - Especially in summer, the warm weather dries out your skin. It is necessary to hydrate and prepare your skin before applying makeup. Look for water boosting products, don't go for the heavy base but instead for a gel. And of course don' t forget to drink a lot of water.

PREPARE YOUR SKIN - Always start with a primer for a flawless canvas. It will prepare the skin and will help your makeup stay on longer.

CHOSE THE CORRECT COLOR - Choose the base, corrector, and powder according to the color of your skin. Match the color to the tone of your neck, chest, and forehead. Discover what color suits you best; yellow-orange based. Once you find it, stick to it in all of your base products.

GET YOUR SKIN BRONZED - Give your face a little touch of sun. With a large brush apply your bronzer or contour to the hallows of your cheek, on the upper forehead, and on your chin. Use preferably a matte bronzer, so that your face does not look too shiny.

LET YOUR SKIN GLOW - Use the illuminator for the upper areas of your face, to get a more natural look. Do avoid applying it on your T- zone. Apply instead right on your cheek bones, possibly on your nose to make it look straighter, and slightly under your nose and chin to make the lips look bigger.

LESS IS MORE - If you want to go for natural beauty, forget the smokey eye look. Instead, use lighter and natural colors which go well with your skin tone. Bring your makeup to a perfection by using an illuminator, bronzer, and perfect eye brows.

USE TRENDY COLORS - Metallic colors are in, so have fun with them. Karat gold, true pewter, copper rose or aged bronze? Tell us what is your favorite and don' t forget less is more.

We have also put together a selection of products we absolutely LOVE and think you too should try. Contact us for more information or if you are interested for a private makeup session. TBP Brides you won't regret it!
